Detailed description

Lemon, Citrus limon, a member of the Rutaceae family, is native to subtropical and Mediterranean regions. Its fruit is widely appreciated for its acidic taste and functional qualities, both in food and in phytotherapy.
Lemons are rich in bioactives, such as flavonoids (hesperidin, naringin), phenolic acids (caffeic acid, ferulic acid), limonoids and vitamin C. These compounds help protect cells against free radicals thanks to their antioxidant properties.
Lemon is traditionally used to support digestive functions and natural defenses, in particular to soothe the respiratory tract.
