Detailed description
Native to arid regions, the prickly pear(Opuntia ficus-indica) is cultivated in Latin America and around the Mediterranean. Nopal is traditionally recognized for its numerous benefits, notably on carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Its fleshy leaves (cladodes) and fruit skins are particularly rich in bioactive compounds. RECOVERA® stands out as the only prickly pear extract to combine both cladodes and fruit skin for optimal efficacy.
RECOVERA® has also been studied in the field of sports. Thanks to its ability to reduce blood glucose levels and induce a beneficial increase in insulin levels, Opuntia extract helps provide energy nutrients, such as sugar and amino acids, to replenish muscles after exercise and promote recovery. It has also been shown that non-polar extracts can have a positive influence on the HRV (heart rate variability) stress indicator and accelerate the production of HSP (heat shock proteins), which protect against stress, helping the body to cope with the negative effects of exercise and recover.
