Detailed description

Couch Grass, Agropyron repens, a perennial plant in the Poaceae family, is widespread in temperate regions. Its rhizome has long been used in traditional practices to promote general well-being and support elimination functions.
Couch Grass rhizome contains a variety of bioactive compounds, including polyphenols, flavonoids, phenolic acids (such as caffeic and coumaric acid), polysaccharides and essential oils. These compounds give it antioxidant properties, helping to protect cells against free radicals, and soothing actions.
Traditionally, couch grass has been used to support kidney and urinary functions. Rhizome extracts are also being studied for their anti-adhesive potential, particularly against certain bacteria, and for their role in modulating water balance.
