Detailed description
Dandelion, Taraxacum officinale, is a perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is now available in temperate regions throughout the world.
For food consumption, dandelion leaves can be used in salads, while the root has been used as a coffee substitute.
In traditional medicine, dandelion, and in particular its leaves, have long been used in many countries to support the normal functioning of the liver and biliary system, or to facilitate drainage.
