Detailed description
Citrus spp. bioflavonoids are naturally occurring compounds found in citrus fruits, skins and membranes. They are essentially composed of flavanones, flavones and polymethoxylated flavones (PMFs).
Citrus bioflavonoids, such as naringin, hesperidin and nobiletin, help protect cells against free radicals, thanks to their antioxidant properties. They are also involved in supporting natural metabolic regulation mechanisms, notably at glycemic and lipid levels.
Citrus bioflavonoids are traditionally used to support circulatory and digestive comfort. They are also studied for their soothing effects and for their role in maintaining natural defenses, by encouraging the body’s response to metabolic imbalances.
