Detailed description

Horsetail, Equisetum arvense, is a perennial plant belonging to the Equisetaceae family. Considered a “weed”, it resembles a fern found in low-lying wetlands, often along rivers, in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

In traditional medicine, it is used for its recognized properties for kidney water elimination and urinary tract health, to soothe skin irritations and for its antioxidant properties.

Horsetail has many benefits for joint health and liver metabolism. Its extracts contain several flavonoids, flavone glycosides, caffeic acid esters and silicic acid, all of which are essential for healthy bones and joints, hair, nails and skin.
