Detailed description
Grindelia, in particular Grindelia robusta and G. squarrosa, is a medicinal plant of Amerindian tradition, historically used to soothe respiratory ailments such as coughs. Its richness in bioactive compounds such as monoterpenes (α-pinene, borneol), flavonoids and phenolic acids gives it interesting properties in modern phytotherapy. Studies have shown its extracts to have notable effects.
Grindelia also demonstrates a capacity to modulate innate immune responses via controlled neutrophil activation. The plant’s hydroalcoholic extracts also show interesting antioxidant potential, protecting against cellular oxidative stress.
In short, Grindelia is a versatile botanical ingredient that supports the ENT sphere and protects cells against oxidative stress.
