Detailed description
Eucalyptus leaf, from the Eucalyptus globulus tree, is native to Australia. This tall tree, which can grow up to 60 meters high, is distinguished by its long, narrow, silvery-green leaves. Eucalyptus leaves are rich in essential oil, giving them a fresh, minty scent.
Used by Australian aborigines for their medicinal properties, they applied them to soothe the skin and chewed the leaves to relieve sore throats.
Extracted by distillation of the leaves, eucalyptus essential oil is inhaled to clear the respiratory tract and promote nasal decongestion. It can also be massaged to soothe muscle and joint pain.
